Hi, I’m Traci!
In both life and my creative process, my intent is to share the wonder, blessings and joy to be found in each day. I feel we all run into obstacles along our journey and when we push through them, it makes us stronger. Sometimes we’re called to be bold in that pursuit.
We all want to feel seen, heard and appreciated in some way. Nature is an inspiration to me, therefore, I desire to become more elevated in the ways I can portray animals, birds, flowers, plants, and other aspects of nature and unify that in the energy in which I create. My hope is that I am led to create works of art that will connect and encourage in some way.
I greatly admire the relationship the Native American people had/have with nature. They understood/understand that humans, animals and plants share the earth and can work in harmony with one another.
I’m looking forward to further studies with the elements of nature and incorporating them into my creative process, such as creating inks with nuts and berries, using sun prints in my collage, studying patterns in leaves, trees, animal fur, etc. I’m so thankful to be on this artistic journey!
The Things I Love…
My beautiful family, my wonderful friends, and every opportunity I get to see our gorgeous world!
A divinely led project and a labor of love, I, alongside several of my dear artist friends, opened up NoCo ARTS in Downtown Newton, NC in February of 2025. It was to answer a need for a space where our community could gather to create, learn, and connect. What a journey it has been!
NoCo ARTS is a creative center equipped with an exhibition gallery, artist studios, a workshop for creative + professional development classes, as well as a retail space.
We feature the works of local and regional artists + artisans as well as work alongside local businesses and organizations to nurture a budding arts-centric town, right here in the heart of Catawba County, NC.
